AIK Stockholm’s Ghanaian striker Kwame Amponsah Karikari is on the verge of joining FC Erzgebirge Aue after embarking on trials at the German Bundesliga 2 club, DailySoccerGhana.com can exclusively reveal.

According to AIK Stockholm’s Sporting Director Bjorn Wesstrom, the Swedish side is eager to complete the transfer of the ex-Inter Allies attacker to Erzgebirge Aue in the January transfer window.

The 22-year-old attacker has failed to hold down a spot at AIK Stockholm, leading to theVeilchen’s recent decision to place him on two loan stints at Degerfors IF and Balikesirspor in 2012 and 2013.

Karikari failed to score for AIK Stockholm last season when he made only four appearances after returning from his loan spell in Turkey.
