Gospel singer Joe Mettle was on e.TV’s The Late Nite Celebrity Show to talk music, life and his ministry.
The Joe Ministries President revealed he listened to music from every part of the world as long as it was good music;
“I listen to a lot of songs, I don’t have any particular artiste I listen to mostly but depending on how I feel, I listen to everything Ghanaian, Nigerian and a lot of South African stuff.
“I love the new Gospel artistes but I love the old music too.
“I’m a bit young but old in terms of the music.
The Nhyira singer responding to Giovani’s question on Hiplife music said;
“Hiplife? I’m not downplaying it, I try to make my time a bit productive by filling myself with what I need to use to influence what I do. I hardly listen to stuff like that.
On whether he admired any Hiplife artiste from afar he said:
“I will say M.anifest because of the Afro stuff he does and a couple of others. I’m a musician so I listen to many stuff but I won’t wake up in the morning and be like I’m going to listen to Hiplife.”
