Trabzonspor president Ibrahim Haciosmanoglu has revealed that multiple English clubs have make contact for Ghanaian international Abdul Majeed Waris.
Manchester United have frequently been linked with a move for the £5million-rated winger, and scouts are even reported to be monitoring his progress.
Waris has been named in Ghana’s African Nations Cup squad, and also featured during their 2-1 defeat to Portugal in last year’s World Cup.
Haciosmanoglu hinted that the 23-year-old could leave the club in the summer, and the inference is that United may be his destination.
He said: “Lille and a few English clubs are interested in signing Waris.
“Lille were also interested in Waris before we signed him. However a player cannot play for three different clubs in one season so he will have to wait until the end of the season.
“We know Manchester United are monitoring him too.”
Waris only signed for the Turkish side in September 2014 for £4.2m – but could already be manoeuvring a move away from the Super Lig.
