The new Black Stars physical trainer Jamie Lawrence and video analyst Gerald were unable to fly to Equatorial Guinea from Seville, Spain, with the senior national team for the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations, DailySoccerGhana.com can exclusively reveal.
The pair has been forced to return to Accra from Seville, following difficulties in securing visas for their trip to the central African country.
The Ghana FA is taking steps to secure visas for the duo to join the Black Stars in Mongomo before the first Group C match against the Teranga Lions of Senegal at 16.00GMT on Monday.
Lawrence and Gerald were with the Black Stars during the team’s 9-day camping exercise in Seville, Spain, where the 2010 World Cup quarter-finalist face Portuguese second tier side Olhanense and Dutch Eredivisie club SC Cambuur.
