Ghana’s Black Meteors suffered a 3-0 defeat at the hands of Egypt’s Olympic National team in the first of their two-legged friendly on Tuesday evening.

Al Ahly’s Ramadan Sobhy was the first to score after he took advantage of a mistake by one of Ghana’s centre-backs in heading the ball back to his keeper.

Mahmoud Trezeguet struck from the penalty spot to hand Egypt the second goal after Al Ahly’s Karim Bambo was tripped by the Ghanaian goalkeeper in the box.

After recess, substitute Mahmoud Kahraba increased the tally by slotting in the third goal.

Coach Malik Jabir’s side will face Egypt in the second test match on Saturday.
