Transfer Update: Emenike not leaving for Tottenham Hotspur

Former Real Madrid presiden Ramon Calderon says the Spanish club is not interesting in signing Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea . The Spanish international has been linked with a move to the UEFA Champions League club but Calderon made his point saying:

‘We already have the best goalkeeper in the world, which is Casillas.

‘We also have just bought Keylor Navas. I don’t see any need to get any other goalkeeper.

‘De Gea is perhaps also one of the top five goalkeepers in the world but Casillas can still be at the top for three or four years. I don’t see any need [for De Gea].’

Chelsea are fending off interest from German Bundesliga side Wolfsburg for the transfer signing of Andre Schurrle .

The Germany 2014 FIFA World Cup winner has not getting enough playing time at the Stamford Bridge club after falling behind Oscar, Eden Hazard, Cesc Fabregas and Willian in a preffered position.

Jose Mourinho and his Chelsea side are however determined to keep him at the club.

Manchester City have been contacted by Italian Serie A champions Junventus over the transfer of striker Stevan Jovetic .

The English Premier League side are on the verge of signing Swansea forward and Ivory Coast international Wilfried Bony and Juventus want to use it to their advantage.

Manchester City are also reportedly interested in the transfer signing of Southampton striker Jay Rodriguez .

Nigeria international Emmanuel Emenike will not be joining Tottenham Hotspur in the English Premier League, Fernerbahce has confirmed.

A club statement read:
‘Emmanuel Emenike is a Fenerbahce player and has a contract with us until 2017, there are currently no transfer talks.’

Chairman Aziz Yildirim confirmed last week:
‘The offer for Emenike came and they offered 10 million euros. However, I trust him; therefore, I rejected the offer.’

Radamel Falcao’s future at Manchester United is still in doubt with reports indicating the Old Trafford club have not made a decision yet.

Falcao’s agent Jorge Mendes has also confirmed he does not know what the future holds for his client telling Sky Italia:

‘I don’t know. He is a fantastic player, and I think it’s very difficult for Manchester United fans — they have an absolutely brilliant player, one of the very best in the world, who would without any doubt play 90 minutes of the match, every time, with any other club.

‘The truth is, right now we don’t know what will happen. What we do know is that he will play in one of the very best clubs in the world next season, whether that is Manchester United or not.

‘I am 100 percent sure of that. But you know how football works; we need to wait a little. We’ll see what happens.’

Sporting Lisbon player William Carvalho has admitted his interest in playing in the English Premier League, putting Manchester United and Arsenal on alert.

The player told Record, a Portuguese publication:
‘My dream is to play in England. I know some clubs are interested but my agent Jorge is looking after it and I am relaxed.

‘Now my mission is to working in Sporting and they will be in charge of any transfer and my future. That is very important.’ Follow @kboakye92
