Coach Annor Walker

Medeama SC Communications Director, Tony Nkrumah Boateng ,has revealed that the Tarkwa based club is likely to appoint Annor Walker as Head Coach of the club by Wednesday.

The Mauves and Yellows, who are preparing for their opening Premier League clash against Inter Allies in Tema on Sunday, have been forced to consider handing the post to Walker following Swedish trainer Tom Strand’s decision not to work with the former Berekum Chelsea assistant coach.

“That is what will be decided by Wednesday, but it is very likely that Annor Walker will be taking over the reins. We are trying to meet our targets. Annor has been taking care of the team since Tom went for the Christmas break,” Nkrumah Boateng told Accra-based Starr 103.5FM.

“We even thought that the demands that he was putting across were not reasonable for us. We then decided that Annor should be training with the team and its very likely that Annor will be given the contract,” he added.

The Medeama SC Coaching job has been vacant since November last year when Prince Owusu left to join ex-Black Stars coach Kwesi Appiah at Sudanese club, Khartoum Al Wataani.
