Guinness Ghana appoints New Marketing, Sales Directors


Guinness Ghana has appointed Kweku Sekyi-Cann and Luck Ochieng Ndede as its new Marketing Director and Sales Director respectively.

Kweku has worked with GGBL in different capacities including Senior Brands Manager, Malta Guinness, Marketing Manager, Guinness Foreign Extra Stout, acting Marketing Director in Ghana and Marketing Director in Meta Abo brewery, Ethiopia also a Diageo business. 

He started his career in Ghana Breweries Limited (GBL) as a graduate trainee and also had a short stint with Coca Cola Equatorial before returning to GGBL in 2007 after the merger with Guinness Ghana Limited.  Kweku has 15years valuable experience in consumer marketing, brand building and great people management skills.

Luck Ochieng Ndede also joins GGBL with about 20 years’ experience in Sales and Distribution and joins the business from Airtel Group, Ghana where he was Country Director – Airtel Money for the past year. Prior to that, Luck was Sales and Distribution Director for five years with Airtel Ghana based in Accra. 

While at Airtel, he set up the Route to Market for Zain as a greenfield operation and led the delivery of successful Sales & Distribution transformation programs in Ghana during the transition of Zain to Airtel. Luck also worked as the Group Sales and Distribution Director for Celtel International BV (Anglophone countries) for three years based in the Netherlands.

Luck started his commercial career with Unilever and Coca Cola (Nairobi Bottlers) where he spent eight years and was involved in significant Route to Consumer changes. 

Thereafter he joined the Telecommunications Industry first as Head of Sales for Safaricom, the largest mobile business in East and Central Africa for three years before joining Celtel, the predecessor to Zain and Airtel.
