Ghana midfielder Sulley Muntari exposed himself to global disgrace as his bad temper was on display to the world on Saturday night as he slammed his AC Milan shirt to the floor in a fit of temper for being substituted in their Serie A match against Torino.

The AC Milan player reacted angrily and almost violently to the decision of coach Filippo Inzaghi to tactically substitute Muntari in the match which they were down to ten men.

As the Ghana international arrived on the bench after he was substituted, he was given the AC Milan apparel that will keep him warm in the bitterly cold night.

Muntari duly received the items from the AC Milan assistant on the bench but he quickly and furiously threw them to the floor to shown his anger and disgust at being substituted.

This is similar to his reaction when he was substituted in Ghana’s match against Lesotho in the 2014 World Cup qualifier in Maseru in 2013 before his verbal attacks on then Black Stars coach Kwesi Appiah over the substitution led to his suspension from the national team.

His latest action comes less than six months after he physically, without any provocation, attacked a Ghana FA board member Moses Armah, during a team meeting at the World Cup.

It is also a massive PR disaster for the AC Milan star as his reputation for being a violent person grows by the day following his recent actions which has been negative for his image.

He recently threatened to smash the face of a prank journalist in Italy.

Muntari’s action in the match against Torino is unlikely to go unnoticed by AC Milan leaders who might want to reign him in over his action when he was substituted.

AC Milan were held to 1-1 scoreline at Torino in Serie A on Saturday, after playing half the match with 10 men and surviving several misses by the home side.

Muntari’s action on live television in the match televised across the world throws further light on the reasons why he has faced several disciplinary problems with officials of Ghana football following his recent stand offs with the GFA.

Muntari has refused to apologize for his physical attack on a Ghana FA official during the 2014 World Cup which eventually fetched him an indefinite suspension from the Black Stars.

The 29-year-old has been urged by various personalities including his father and numerous of his fans to render an apology for his shameful abuse in Brazil.

But the feisty midfielder has showed no remorse and has refused to tender in an apology which is a pre-requisite for the lifting of his indefinite ban from the team.

He even turned down a fine opportunity to air his side of the story by declining an invitation to appear before the Presidential Commission of Inquiry.

Muntari’s refusal to apologize left Avram Grant no choice but to leave him out of his 2015 AFCON squad despite visiting him at his base in Italy.

The Ghana FA is determined to restore discipline in the Black Stars team following the disastrous showing at the 2014 World Cup.

They have therefore declared the AC Milan star unavailable for international selection until he renders an apology.
