Outspoken politician, Dr. Sekou Nkrumah has called on President John Mahama to consider making changes in his government as he marked two years in office.
According to him, though he finds no problem with the National Democratic Congress (NDC), the leadership in some government agencies are incompetent.
Dr. Sekou Nkrumah, who was reviewing the performance of the President on Okay FM’s morning show, noted that, “there is more to be done in this government because the leadership in the party is making things difficult for Ghanaians and so I believe the best Mr. President can do is to change his leadership,” he opined.
President John Dramani Mahama on Wednesday marked two years in office by joining a young cocoa farmer at Assin Sienchem in the Central Region to work on his farm.
He said the government had put in place a number of measures to support farmers to increase production.
He asked the people to continue to have faith in the government because it would always work in their interest.
But Dr. Nkrumah encouraged President Mahama to do more by bringing competent people on board to salvage the ailing economy.
“In the Former President Atta Mills’ regime, things were much better, but if I should rate Mahama for his two year term, I think there is more to do as a president. When we able to get competent leaders in the government, I think the hardship Ghanaians are through will cease” he argued.
