Global Wealth Trade Corporation (GWTC), based in Canada, is extending its operations to Ghana this year.

With its focus on jewelleries, bags, shoes, clothing and other accessories, the company is expected to provide employment for Ghanaian women interested in accessories.

A sensitisation workshop has already taken place in Accra to educate interested persons, particularly women, on the key roles they will play to ensure the success of the business in Ghana.

Speaking to the Daily Graphic in Accra, the Consultant for GWTC Ghana, Mr Culham B. Amengor, said the company was interested in helping to address the high rate of unemployment among women.

“The high rate of unemployment in Ghana currently demands that individuals open a lot of businesses to serve as a source of employment,” he said.

Explaining how one could start operating with the company, Mr Amengor said the individual could begin with an amount of GH¢507.

The individual needed to get about 32 business partners on board to convince them about the business after which the company would give the individual a Mercedes Benz.

He called on persons interested in such trade to come on board and make a living for themselves.
