The car after it had hit the metal container
DRIVER OF a speeding Toyota Tundra vehicle and other people on board, miraculously survived a near-gory crash.
The black Toyota Tundra was approching at top speed from the Santasi Roundabout in Kumasi, the Ashanti Regional capital, and heading towards the direction of the Bekwai roundabout.
Upon reaching the Friends Garden area, the driver suddenly turned left from the main road onto the adjoining road.
Due to the high speed, the driver lost control of the steering wheel and veered off the road in a very dangerous manner.
The vehicle then ran straight into a metal container which had been locked.
A group of young men that were sitting by the roadside saw the vehicle approaching dangerously and so they suddenly fled from the scene.
The metal container did stop the speeding vehicle from moving further and possibly running into a ditch.
The driver of the car suddenly jumped from it and took to his heels to avert being beaten by the angry people around.
He left behind two young ladies that were in the car. Luckily, they escaped unhurt.
The ladies looked dejected as they stood by the car with the mob hurling insults at them.
A certain man by name Butcher, who was at the scene appealed to the mob not to attack the traumatized ladies.
He admonished the people to report the case to the police for investigations to begin and for the careless driver to be trailed and apprehended.
