Police To Auction Abandoned Vehicles

The Ghana Police Service has asked those whose accident /abandoned vehicles as well as motorbikes have already been tested and released, to clear them with immediate effect.

A statement issued in Accra and signed by ASP Afia Tenge of the Accra Regional Police Command said the exercise formed part of efforts to decongest all police stations in the city.

‘The command is appealing to owners of these accident or abandoned vehicles and motorbikes to get them removed immediately. Failure to comply will leave the Police with no option but to dispose them of or auction them to the public.’

The statement said the police was giving a time frame of two weeks for owners to clear their stuff after which a decisive action would be taken.

‘In case of any difficulties in tracing vehicles, owners are advised to contact the Accra Regional Public Relations Office on 0243110562 or 0262511853 for further directives.’
