Miss Universe Ghana 2014, Abena Akuaba Appiah, who left the shores of Ghana on Friday, January 2, 2015 to the United States of America to begin preparation towards the upcoming Miss Universe finale at Miami, Florida, on January 25, has promised to do her best to market Ghana and also win the crown. Abena Akuaba Appiah and other 88 delegates from other parts of the world will vie for the prestigious crown of Miss Universe 2014.
Ghana’s representative, who is a professional model and afro pop artiste with five singles to her credit, is expected to put up a convincing all-round performance to make Ghana proud.
‘I am excited at the opportunity to represent my country.
I can only ask for God’s guidance and favour ahead of the finals,’ she told Beatwaves in an interview at her residence before her departure to the United States.
The beauty queen, who represented Ghana last year in the international top model pageant of the world in Egypt, appealed to Ghanaians to rally behind her throughout the period of the competition.
