John Arwuah: AmaZulu midfielder eyes turnaround

Usuthu are back in training today under the guidance of new coach Steve Barker, who has managed to pick up five points from five matches since taking over from Craig Rosslee.Ghanaian-born Arwuah feels Barker’s arrival has lifted the players and believes they are ready to enjoy a much better 2015 following the festive break.“We’re back to training and we’re looking forward to it and I believe we all feel refreshed,” Arwuah tells the club’s website.“We really needed the break because we didn’t have a bright start considering our position on the log, but we can change things.“The arrival of coach Steve lifted our morale as we started to play better as a team, so our aim is to win games.”Next up for AmaZulu is Orlando Pirates on February 11, and Arwuah is confident the team can get a result against their more illustrious opponents.“It’s our home game and we must do everything in our power to retain the three points no matter who we face,” he says.“At this moment we cannot afford to lose matches but aim for a win. Well, we can settle for a draw but not a loss.“We’re not in a decent position on the log so it’s up to us as players to fight and die for Usuthu.”
