Serie B bound: Avellino eye deal for Masahudu Alhassan

Italian Serie B side Avellino have expressed interest in signing Ghana defender Masahudu Alhassan.

The 21-year-old has failed to make the first-teams grades under Andrea Stramaccioni and is set to be released by the Little Zebras.

Udinese sporting director, Christian Giaretta, confirmed that the Ghanaian international is close to joining the Serie B side.

‘We spoke on the phone with executives from Avellino and in the coming days there may be the decisive meeting,’ Giaretta told  Tuttoavellino.com.

‘[Avellino] made its request and there are really good chance that the deal will be successfully concluded. At the moment, what is only missing is the final agreement between the Avellino and Masahudu. Once agreement is agreed, Alhassan will move on loan. ‘

Masahudu joined Udinese last season, hoping to secure regular playing time at the club but has failed to find space at the club.
