Aflao GridCo sub-station up in flames

The sub-station of the Ghana Grid Company (GridCo), at Alfao in the Volta Region has been engulfed in flames.

The cause of the fire is not immediately known, nor is the extent of the damage.

However, the incident is likely to aggravate the already precarious power supply situation in the country.
