Injured Ghana striker Abdul Majeed Waris has been ruled out of action for the next 10-15 days and could miss the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations if he fails to recover in time for the tournament, according to Ghana FA Spokesperson Ibrahim Sannie Darra.

“Waris will be out of action for the next 10-15 days so the Coach (Grant) is contemplating the possibility of replacing him with another player. He is watching two other players and will pick one in case Waris doesn’t make the time of recovery,” Sannie Darra toldDailySoccerGhana.com after the team’s fitness session at the Lizzy Sports Complex on Friday afternoon.

Though Mr. Sannie Darra did not release the name of Majeed Waris’ possible replacement, a reliable source close to DailySoccerGhana.com has revealed that Mahatma Otoo will travel with the Black Stars to Seville on Sunday evening and could step in for the Turkey-based attacker.

The former BK Hacken goal-poacher was stretchered off with an injury while featuring for his side Trabzonspor against Eski?ehirspor in the Turkish Spor Toto League on Monday.
