Actress Nana Ama McBrown Celebrates New Year with Children of Mampong Babies Home

There is never a better way for someone to put smiles on the faces of others than to spend quality time with them.

This is exactly what versatile Ghanaian actress, Nana Ama McBrown, with support from Taabea Herbal Mixture – chose to do this year as part of her social responsibilities as she celebrated the New Year with children of Mampong Babies Home – an orphanage established in 1967 and situated at Mampong in the Ashanti Region.

Taking inspiration from the saying, “there’s more happiness in giving than in receiving”, the award-winning actress is determined on practicing the former as long as she lives even though she has been embarking on such worthy causes.

According to her, it’s very pathetic to come across people (especially kids) who have lost their parents and do not experience parental warmth and care from their biological parents. “Drawing close to them, showing them affection, and putting smiles on their faces make them feel loved”, she stated.

The occasion, which was a sight to behold, attracted several children from nearby towns to the orphanage.

Amidst the party Nana Ama McBrown threw for the kids, she also donated items such as cooking oils, bags of rice and sugar, soft drinks, diapers, toiletries, clothes, etc. She also mounted a mini billboard for the orphanage.

Addressing the crowd that gathered at the event, Nana Koduah Kyirifasohene – representative of the Chief of Mampong – thanked the actress for her kind gestures toward the kids. He therefore urged others to emulate the kind deeds of the actress.

Staffs of the orphanage, who could not hide their happiness also expressed their gratitude to the actress for such a commendable cause and for brightening their day as well.

Gracing the occasion were her colleague actors-Vivian Jill, Bill Asamoah, and Gabor.
