A former Deputy Minister of Food and Agriculture in former President Kufuor’s government, Abraham Dwuma-Odoom, has asserted that politicians in this country have failed the youth.

He said the objective of politics is to secure a better future for young people and the nation at large which politicians in the country have failed to achieve.

Mr. Dwuma Odoom has, therefore, called on his colleague politicians to deal with these concerns with the required attention it deserves.

He made the statement at a two-day “leadership empowerment seminar” organized for the youth of Twifo-Atti Morkwa District with support from Leadership International Foundation.

He reiterated that, sometimes, he regrets being a politician when he reflects on how they have failed the youth of this country. He said, “if politicians do not take care, the youth will one day ascend to attack them in this country”.

The founder, who also doubles as the President of Leadership International Foundation, Dr. Delanyo Adadevoh, said Ghana and Africa needs leaders who are selfless, transformative, authentic, dependable, have integrity and above all do not have the tendency of corruption.
