The TUCEE Organization, a child-centered development and environmental sustainability non-profit making entity has held a seminar dubbed “Teen`s Transformational Seminar\u2019\u2019 for about 250 selected pupils from some Basic Schools within the Ashaiman Municipality of the Greater Accra Region.<\/strong><\/p>\n The event which was on the theme “ Empowering the Next Generation to Create a Fulfilling Future\u2019\u2019 educated the school children on Coping with Peer Pressure and Sex Education and Child Sexual Abuse.<\/p>\n Chief Executive Officer of TUCEE, Mrs Cecilia Tutu-Danquah sensitized the children on the dangers associated with peer pressure, how to cope with and overcome them to enable them realize their life goals.<\/p>\n The CEO urged the school children to discard all negative tendencies in their lives and strive to make personal good choices always.<\/p>\n According to her, it is very important for young people to choose wisely who they associate themselves with, things to watch, places to visit and things to listen to and accept.<\/p>\n She challenged the teenagers to think of the possible negative consequences that unnecessary peer pressure brings on them to enable them cope with it when it thus come.<\/p>\n Madam Cecilia also admonished the children to pray to God always whiles reading their Bibles and Quoran.<\/p>\n The TUCEE boss urged the pupils to associate with God fearing people who would give the good counsel when the need arises and avoid unnecessary comparism, complaints and criticism.<\/p>\n Mrs Tutu-Danquah counseled the pupils to value their personal integrity and desire to protect it always. Chief Information Officer of TUCEE, Mr. Jim Henry Sunu cautioned the school children to be weary of pre-marital sex and avoid getting themselves involved in the act.<\/p>\n He urged the pupils to endeavor to make the right decisions concerning Sex and challenged them to abstain from sex because sex before marriage has many negative consequences that can prevent them from realizing their future aspirations.<\/p>\n TUCEE stands for Technology, Ubiquity Counseling and Clean Environment in Education which is aimed at creating opportunity for children for a secured future.<\/p>\n TV Presenter, Anita Erskine of VIASAT 1 encouraged the school children to make good choices in life to enable them achieve their life aspirations.<\/p>\n
