Men’s Health Foundation\u00a0Ghana, a prostate care\u00a0organisation, will stage the\u00a0first-ever prostate health disparity\u00a0symposium in Ghana.<\/p>\n

The symposium would address\u00a0the needs of healthy men who are at\u00a0high risk of prostate cancer, men\u00a0newly diagnosed with the disease,\u00a0caregivers, family members and\u00a0men with recurring or advanced\u00a0stage prostate cancer.<\/p>\n

The event is scheduled to coincide\u00a0with the month that has been\u00a0globally earmarked as the prostate\u00a0cancer awareness month.<\/p>\n

Each symposium\u00a0would include presentations\u00a0by prostate cancer medical experts\u00a0and a survivor’s roundtable discussions\u00a0that address the needs of caregivers\u00a0of prostate patients.<\/p>\n

The symposium would also look\u00a0at the need of early prostate cancer\u00a0screening and push for a specific\u00a0prostate cancer policy in Ghana for\u00a0men concerned about prostate cancer.<\/p>\n

Men’s Health Foundation Ghana\u00a0aims at reducing the worrying\u00a0prostate cancer disparities in black\u00a0men by 2025.<\/p>\n

According to Dr Raphael\u00a0Nyarkotey Obu, the founder of\u00a0Men’s Health Foundation, the symposium\u00a0which would be launched in\u00a0September at the Coconut Groove\u00a0Hotel in Accra, would be held across\u00a0major towns in the country, and\u00a0would address the need for\u00a0increased knowledge and awareness\u00a0in the fight against a prostate cancer.<\/p>\n

The event would be staged in\u00a0partnership with Amansan Television.\u00a0The foundation is therefore\u00a0seeking for collaboration from corporate\u00a0institutions, churches and<\/p>\n

men organisations to be part of the\u00a0symposium to educate men on\u00a0prostate health.<\/p>\n
