{"id":202619,"date":"2014-07-09T12:35:00","date_gmt":"2014-07-09T12:35:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/ghana-mma.com\/national-council-of-state-promises-return-of-kidnapped-schoolgirls-very-soon\/"},"modified":"2014-07-09T12:35:00","modified_gmt":"2014-07-09T12:35:00","slug":"national-council-of-state-promises-return-of-kidnapped-schoolgirls-very-soon","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/2014\/07\/09\/national-council-of-state-promises-return-of-kidnapped-schoolgirls-very-soon\/","title":{"rendered":"National Council Of State Promises Return Of Kidnapped Schoolgirls &#8216;Very Soon&#8217;"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"open-news__txt_block clearfix open-news__txt\" itemprop=\"articleBody\" readability=\"42\">\n<p><strong>Almost three months since Islamic extremists, Boko Haram, abducted\u00a0more than 200 schoolgirls in Chibok, Borno State, Nigeria\u2019s National Council of State has promised to deliver \u2018some good news\u2019 about the situation very soon.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>It would be recalled that the schoolgirls were kidnapped inside the Government Girls Secondary School in Chibok, Borno State, northeastern Nigeria on 14 April, 2014.<\/p>\n<p>Since then, effort has made by the Nigerian federal government along with \u00a0assistance from the international communities to rescue the kidnapped girls from their abductors with not noticeable success.<\/p>\n<p>However, it was gathered that the rescue of the girls was top of the agenda during a meeting of the National Council of State made up of past Nigerian presidents, state governors and leaders of parliament held on Tuesday, 8 July, 2014.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/img.ghanamma.com\/uploads\/2014\/07\/ae1bshekau_new_video1.jpg\" vspace=\"5\" itemprop=\"image\" alt=\"* Boko Haram leader, Abubakar Shekau\" border=\"0\" data-zoom=\"1\" width=\"400\" height=\"315\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>* Leader of\u00a0<\/strong><strong>Boko Haram<\/strong><strong>, Abubakar Shekau<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Speaking after the meeting, Governor Godwill Akpabio of Akwa Ibom said the Nigerian<em>\u00a0\u2018military authorities has confirmed that efforts were being made and that very soon we will have good news.\u2019<\/em><\/p>\n<p>The governor added the question is not whether the girls can be rescued but how to do it without endangering their lives.<span class=\"open-news__jsreadmore\">Read more<\/span><\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<p>        Know more about this news?
