Organizers of the Occupy Flagstaff House demonstration Concerned Ghanaians for Responsible Governance (CGRG) have hinted of their intentions of organizing another demonstration in the coming days.<\/p>\n

\u00a0Speaking on behalf of the group Nana Kweku Awuah told Citinews that the group will organize another demonstration which will be targeted at the Legislature.<\/p>\n

‘Our next target is parliament but we have not decided on the date yet’.<\/p>\n

He said the upcoming demonstration is intended to get parliament to be proactive in holding government accountable.<\/p>\n

He stated that Members of Parliament were elected into parliament for a reason and part of that reason was to speak on behalf of the people and take decisions that contribute to their well being.<\/p>\n

Even though the group is yet to meet and decide on a date he assured the public that the demonstration will come off in a different form and that the agreed date will be made known.<\/p>\n

The CGRG on July 1, Republic Day organized the Occupy Flagstaff House demonstration that saw about 300 largely middle class defied a rainfall to march in protest of what they described as the worsening economic conditions of the country.<\/p>\n

The demonstration which was almost disallowed by the police finally came off under heavy security presence.<\/p>\n

Chief of Staff who accepted a petition on behalf of the president assured the demonstrators that their request will be duly addressed.<\/p>\n
