Uruguay striker Luis Suarez has been named in the final 23-man squad for the FIFA World Cup tournament despite undergoing surgery in the last week.<\/p>\n

The Liverpool forward is not expecting a return until after Uruguay’s first game in the finals against Costa Rica. Suarez could however be fit to face his club team-mates in the England national team on the 19 of June.<\/p>\n

Coach Oscar Tabarez will however have Edinson Cavani and Diego Forlan to rely on in the absence of Luis Suarez as both players have been named for the tournament.<\/p>\n

Uruguay’s final 23-man squad for the FIFA World Cup:<\/p>\n

Goalkeepers: Fernando Muslera (Galatasaray), Martin Silva (Vasco da Gama), Rodrigo Munoz (Libertad)<\/p>\n

Defenders: Maximiliano Pereira (Benfica), Diego Lugano (West Bromwich Albion), Diego Godin, Jose Maria Gimenez (both Atletico Madrid), Sebastian Coates (Liverpool), Martin Caceres (Juventus), Jorge Fucile (Porto)<\/p>\n
