{"id":164383,"date":"2014-02-21T18:31:04","date_gmt":"2014-02-21T18:31:04","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/ghana-mma.com\/woman-slashes-man-to-death\/"},"modified":"2014-02-21T18:31:04","modified_gmt":"2014-02-21T18:31:04","slug":"woman-slashes-man-to-death","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/2014\/02\/21\/woman-slashes-man-to-death\/","title":{"rendered":"Woman Slashes Man To Death"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A 45-year woman who allegedly hacked to death a farmer from whose farm she had gone to steal has appeared before the Nkawie Circuit Court.<\/p>\n<p>The plea of Yaa Kyeremaa was not taken and was ordered to be held in prison custody to make her next court appearance on March 12.<\/p>\n<p>The incident happened at Asakaraka, a farming community in the Atwima-Nwabiagya District on January 30.<\/p>\n<p>The deceased, Kwaku Amoako, 30, had confronted the accused and demanded an explanation for stealing some sugarcane from his farm.<\/p>\n<p>Police Chief Inspector Charles Ato Hayford told the court presided over by Mr William Boampong that this resulted in a quarrel and some neighbours intervened to calm down tempers.<\/p>\n<p>Amoako later decided to return to his farmstead not far from Asakaraka, when the accused armed with a machete chased until she caught up with him, slashed him in the head as he dropped to the ground and bled to death.<\/p>\n<p>Kyeremaa fled after the crime but the police acting on a tip off arrested her from her hideout four days on.<\/p>\n<p>The body of the deceased had been deposited at a Toase mortuary for autopsy.<\/p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A 45-year woman who allegedly hacked to death a farmer from whose farm she had gone to steal has appeared&#8230;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":0,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"footnotes":""},"categories":[],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-164383","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard"],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/2014\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/164383","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/2014\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/2014\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/post"}],"replies":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/2014\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/comments?post=164383"}],"version-history":[{"count":0,"href":"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/2014\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/164383\/revisions"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/2014\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=164383"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"category","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/2014\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/categories?post=164383"},{"taxonomy":"post_tag","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/2014\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/tags?post=164383"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
