‘Don’t Forsake Orphans’

GHANAIANS HAVE been urged to support orphans who are living in the various foster homes throughout the country.

Giving the advice, Helena Owusu Praman, Manhyia South New Patriotic Party (NPP) Women Organizer, said it is more blessed to give than to receive.

She therefore entreated the populace, especially those who are well-endowed, to readily offer support to orphans.

Madam Praman made the appeal when the Manhyia South NPP women’s wing donated to the Ashan Home at Denase in the Ashanti Region.

Prior to the donation, the NPP members embarked on a cleanup exercise at the Manhyia Clinic.

The NPP Women Organizer expressed concern about how orphans had been left to their own fate in society, even though it is the responsibility of all to take care of them since they unfortunately do not have parents.

Madam Praman was of the conviction that if orphans were well supported, they could grow to become influential people in future.

She asserted that the Manhyia South women’s wing of the NPP solicited for the items donated to the home.

According to her, the women were motivated by the NPP Member of Parliament (MP) for Manhyia South, Dr. Mathew Opoku Prempeh, to support the orphanage.
