NPP Donates To Cape Coast Hospital

The Cape Coast South constituency branch of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has donated items worth GH¢5000 to the Cape Coast Metropolitan Hospital.

The donation was part of a four day outreach programme initiated by the party to attract more people to the party in the metropolis.

Making the presentation, the constituency Chairman of the party, Ernest Arthur, said the donation formed part of the party’s social responsibility towards the patients of the hospital.

Mr Arthur stated that the donation would not be a day’s wonder but would continue since the government alone cannot solve the problems confronting the various health sectors in the country.

He added that the items should be distributed to the patients at the hospital as some of them cannot afford to feed themselves because they have been abandoned by their family members at the place.

A Senior Staff Nurse, Madam Susana Gbeve, who received the items on behalf of the patients, thanked the party for the kind gesture.

Madam Gbeve appealed to non-governmental organisations and other political parties to emulate the good examples of NPP, adding, ‘I least expected this from a political party which is in opposition, I am surprise to see you with these items and may God bless you for that.’

The party supporters earlier donated an amount of GH¢500 to the Muslim community at the Regional Central Mosque.

The Cape Coast Zongo chief, Alhaji Mahamadu Dende, who received the money on behalf of the community, commended NPP for the gesture and prayed for the success of the party.
