Schuster, Kluivert and Ex-Chelsea Boss Grant Apply For Black Stars Post

The Ghana Football Association will face selection headache is appointing the new Black Stars coach with high-profile names like Bernd Shuster, former Chelsea boss Avram Grant and Dutch legend Patrick Kluivert applying for job.

Grant, who had been linked to the technical director post of the Black Stars, applied before the Friday deadline.

The 59-year-old was appointed technical director at Thai Premier League club BEC Tero Sasana five years ago.

Kluivert was assistant coach to Louis Van Gaal at the 2014 FIFA World Cup finals and was among the 28 coaches who applied.

He had a successful playing career for the Dutch national team and for club sides Ajax Amsterdam, Barcelona and Newcastle.

Another big fish in the hunt for the job is former Real Madrid and Getafe coach Shuster who is a German.
