Hearts Made Me No Offer, Reveals Kotoko Returnee Ahmed Toure

Asante Kotoko striker Ahmed Toure claims he was made no offer during his brief stint at Hearts of Oak.

The 27-year-old signed a three-year deal to seal his return to Kotoko after leaving the club acrimoniously two seasons ago.

Toure was on the verge of a sensational move to Hearts of Oak only to surprisingly turn up in Kumasi to sign for Kotoko.

The Ivorian striker has come under heavy criticisms from Hearts officials and supporters who feel betrayed by his act.

But Toure has revealed the Phiobians didn’t show their deep interest in him by offering him a contract.

“Hearts didn’t make me an offer, I rather gave them a proposal but they failed to act on it because they claimed their chairman was out of the country,” he said.

“And my club in Ivory Coast had given me only ten days so I had to return.

“Then someone came to me in Ivory Coast and said he was sent by Alhaji Lamine and I thought ‘wow, from Ghana to Ivory Coast?’

“It showed how much Kotoko wanted me so I went over to sign for them.”
