Okyeame Kwame, MTN Storm Sunyani With Free Hepatitis B Screening

Okyeame Kwame
Come Saturday September 20, the Okyeame Kwame Foundation (OKF) together with MTN Ghana Foundation will organise free Hepatitis B Screening in Sunyani at Sunyani Coronation Park from 6:00 am to 2:00 pm.

According to the hiplife music who released his latest single titled ‘Towoboase – It’s Your Time’ featuring Congolese singer, Lelo, last week on Starr FM, the primary focus of  OKF is to raise awareness and education about Hepatitis B, a viral infection which infects the liver and causes an inflammation.

He, however, advised the Ghanaian youth to take Hepatitis B screening very seriously ‘because the Hepatitis B is a preventable disease and AIDS is not. You shouldn’t fear when coming to screen.’

He disclosed that after the screening exercise, there would be a musical jam dubbed ‘Hiplife Party’ at the Sunyani Polytechnic which would witness performances from a number of upcoming hiplife artistes.

So far, about 38,000 Ghanaians have benefited from free medical attention and screening held at the British Council Hall and Kwame Nkrumah Circle (in Accra), Prempeh Assembly Hall, KNUST Campus and Ayigya Taxi Rank (in Kumasi), the Methodist Church at Nkawkaw (Eastern Region), the Market Circle at Takoradi, among others.
