Samini is proud of me – Stonebwoy

Reggae and dancehall artiste, Livingstone Satekla, popularly known as Stonebwoy says his mentor, Samini is proud of the successes he has chalked up so far with his career.

According to him, many people wrongly presume that he is in some kind of war with Samini after leaving his camp some years ago.

He said in an interview on Showbiz Today on Hitz FM’s with Mic Gizo Saturday that the ‘King of African dancehall’, Samini appreciates how he has improved after he exited his camp, the “High Grade Family”.

“Samini is happy for me, because I have grown well [and] doing my own thing”, he stated.

Stonebwoy, who was discovered by Samini, is a Ghanaian Afropop, dancehall and reggae artiste and also now the CEO of Burniton Music Group.

His first hit single was ‘Climax’ featuring Samini, released off of his Grade1 album released in June 2012. ‘Climax’ went on to gain him a nomination for the Best Reggae Song of the Year in the 2012 Ghana Music Awards.

Asked if he regrets leaving Samini’s camp, Stonebwoy responded, “I don’t regret leaving High Grade Family for I have gathered the experience that I [needed].”
