Eastern Regional Communications Directorate of the New Patriotic Party has commended Hon. Kofi Osei Ameyaw for pulling out of the party’s flagbearership position race and throwing his support behind Nana Akufo-Addo ahead of their October elections.
This follows a declaration at press conference held yesterday by the flagbearer hopeful and the member of parliament for Asuogyaman constituency.
The Regional communications director, David Prah, said the actions of the honourable member will actually go a long way to strengthen the unity that exists within the party and also hailed him for declaring his support to Nana Akufo-Addo.
He stated that his actions and that of Hon. Joe Ghartey have really shown that Nana Addo is the best choice if the party wants to come back into power and therefore appealed to the other aspirants to do the same to boost the party’s morale for the 2016 elections.
David Prah on behalf of the regional executives, communication team and party supporters, has however, called for the need for continuous peace to prevail before and after the October 18th congress.
