Horseman Shoes CEO Donates Sandals

Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Horseman Shoes, Tonyi Senayah recently celebrated his 31st birthday and spent some time with women of Beads of Hope, a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) in Paga.

Mr Senayah also donated sandals to some students in Navrongo in the Upper East region as part of his birthday.

According to Mr Senayah, he first got into contact with the founder and CEO of Beads of Hope, Nafisa Adams after she sent him a message on Facebook telling him what she does, how he inspires her from a distance.

‘I was rather inspired by her story when I got into contact with her and thought the world should hear her story,’ Mr Senayah added.

He later decided to visit Paga and see what Beads of Hope does and spend time with the women.

Beads of Hope is an enterprise set up to economically empower old women, who are not making much income from subsistence farming, widowed women, teenage mothers and school dropouts.

Ms Adams currently works with 60 women in Paga and 10 head porters in Accra.

‘Even though my business is still at the building stages, a lot young people look up to me and I cannot deny but share with them my modest experience so far.”

‘It has been an experience that will not be lost on me and become a fading memory soon to come. It will stay with me for a long time. It is my fervent prayer that Nafisa and the many other young people in their own little corners will change their world,’ Mr Senayah said.

He was grateful to Mabel Simpson of MSimps who made a cash donation to Beads of Hope for the purchase of mats and Vera Ewura
