Big Brother Africa Season 9 to launch Sept 12

M-Net and Endemol SA, organizers of the Big Brother Africa reality show have announced that a new house has been found for the reality show after a devastating fire razed down the houses for the show.

The Big Brother Africa (Hotshot) Houses, in the Sasani Studios in Johannesburg, which were supposed to house contestants for the 91-day reality show, went up in flames Tuesday afternoon around 3pm (CAT).

This forced the organisers of the reality show to postpone indefinitely, the launch of this year’s event which was scheduled for Sunday, September 7.

Organizers said in a statement, copied Myjoyonline.com Friday that, “M-Net and Endemol SA are delighted to confirm that a new Big Brother house has been found in Johannesburg, South Africa following the devastating fire that demolished the original house on 2 September.

“The search was concluded after exploring all possible options both locally and internationally, for a suitable venue to produce the 9th season of Africa’s biggest reality show.”

The statement stated that Big Brother (Hotshots) will be officially launched on Sunday, October 5.
