Nana Addo’s Popularity Soars In Upper East

A large number of residents in the Bolgatanga Municipality of the Upper East Region thronged to the street on Monday to resoundingly welcome Nana Akufo-Addo to the region on his nationwide campaign tour towards the October 18 congress.

His convoy drove through the streets in Bolgatanga before finally heading towards the party’s regional office, where he addressed the large number of his party supporters.

Later in the evening, Nana Addo granted an interview to a local radio station, A1 Radio, where he described the government’s choice for the International Monetary Fund (IMF’s) financial bail-out as a sad moment in the history of Ghana’s history.

According to Nana Addo, ‘Ghana needs a bold and visionary leadership to turn the ailing economy round for the better and that is what I am promising the country if Ghanaians accept my message and brings the NPP to power in 2016.’

He added that if the Mahama-led NDC government had continued and improved many of the projects and programmes that were initiated by

the Kufuor-led government, the country would have been on a sound footing.
