He responded to the assertion in a press release issued to DAILY GUIDE on Tuesday in Cape Coast in relation to a story published under the headline, ‘Chiefs Declare War on DCE.’ The publication indicated that the chiefs at Ajumako had accused the DCE of not initiating any developmental project in the area – which the traditional ruler was quoted as reiterating.
Mr. Koomson stated that the district has five paramount chiefs and did not see why Okokodurfo Ababio had been accusing him wrongly all the time,d despite all the good things he had been doing for the district.
He mentioned Ajumako Campus of the University of Education, the completion of the Ajumako Hospital Maternity Ward and doctor’s bungalow among others, as some of the projects initiated by him.
He added that he had taken it upon himself to give each of the paramount chiefs GH¢200 every quarter since he was appointed the DCE of the area, to enable the chiefs run their offices. However he maintained that he had failed to give them the money since the beginning of this year because the assembly had not received its common fund.
