In a huge endorsement of Ghanaian creativity, Nigerian music sensation Davido has picked up local fashion designing outfit, Chapter One, as his personal cloths maker after discovering his works.
Davido came in for Leslie Kwerefour Wiredu who owns Chapter One classics, a fashion designing enterprise in Ghana. The Nigerian flew in the Ghanaian and hosted him for five days.
Chapter One is set to produce apparel and on stage costumes for Davido to be used in the video shoot with Deekay.
Apparently, Chapter One has been the creative force behind the costumes and clothes of many seasoned hiplife artiste in Ghana. The list is exhaustive but it includes Sarkodie, Edem, 4X4.
Davido who featured in 4X4’s music video, Baby Dance, was impressed with the outfit of the Ghanaian music group and inquired about the designer. He was led to Chapter One and has since cemented their professional relationship.
Chapter One is a graduate of Takoradi Polytechnic where he learnt fashion designing. He did his apprenticeship under the late Kofi Ansah, the globally respected Ghanaian fashion designer.
