Legendary comedian and Fashion Police on E! host, Joan Rivers, has been laid to rest after a funeral ceremony at Manhattan’s Temple Emanu-El in New York Sunday.
The comedian died in a New York hospital last Thursday afternoon, a week after suffering cardiac arrest during a medical procedure.
“She passed peacefully at 1:17 p.m. surrounded by family and close friends,” Melissa Rivers, Joan’s daughter said in a written statement.
Rivers, 81, had been on life support at Manhattan’s Mount Sinai hospital, where she was taken after she stopped breathing at the Yorkville Endoscopy clinic last Thursday.
The controversial television personality wished for a star-studded funeral and she was gracefully honoured with one.
The funeral Sunday was attended by A-list personalities from the world of fashion, business, media and Hollywood.
Some of the personalities at the funeral include, Whoopi Goldberg, Kathy Griffin, Kelly Osbourne, Sarah Jessica Parker, Donald Trump, Barbara Walters, and Michael Kors.
