I’ve Not Anointed Any Candidate To Succeed Me, Says Kebbi Gov

saidu-dakingari-kebbiGovernor Saidu Dakingari of Kebbi State has stated that he does not have any anointed candidate to succeed him in 2015.

The governor made this known on Thursday at Government House, Birnin Kebbi, when he received a delegation from Yauri and Zuru Emirates in the Southern Senatorial zone of the state, who were in his office to seek his support for power shift to Kebbi South.

“I don’t have any candidate and insha Allahu, I would not support anybody, because nobody knows where the Governor would come from and who would succeed me”, the governor said.

According to Dakingari, since Zuru has about eight aspirants with only one from Yauri, they should go home and settle the matter among themselves.

“I salute the courage of the two emirates, I want them to agree and present a credible person before me. Now if you people agree then the governor would go to one side while senator would also go to the other side”, he said adding that If the elite from the two sides are able to agree and present a honest and trust worthy candidate, he is  ready to lend them support.

Leader of the delegation, Prof. Mahdi Adamu Ngaski, said they were in Government House to intimate the governor over their mission towards presenting a credible candidate to succeed him.
