The final audition for the country’s popular music talent show, Vodafone Icons, will take place this Saturday, September 6th 2014 at the Labadi Beach Hotel.
Named the ‘Remix’ edition, this year’s edition will give contestants the platform to perform their remixed version of popular songs. According to Vodafone Ghana, this year’s edition is driven by its commitment to empower young people to be creative in their quest to become music icons.
The company explained that contestants can also audition online by submitting a video in MPEG, MPG, MP4, OGG, MOV, AVI, WMV, M4V and VOB formats at www.facebook.com/Vodafone Ghana or via twitter @ Iconsremix. The video should not exceed three minutes and should be 30 – 50 MB in size.
The telecom operator known for its innovation to empower the youth stated that a maximum of two videos could be sent by contestants, adding that one song should be recorded per video.
Last year Ryan emerged the third season winner of the show dubbed the ‘Street Edition’. His ultimate prize package was valued at GHS250, 000. The prize package included a brand new Kia Sportage, Samsung products and a recording contract with one of the world’s biggest record label, Universal Music.
