Ghana Models’ Awards Celebrate Kofi Ansah & Ricci Ossei

Organisers of Ghana Models Awards (GMA) have announced the 2014 edition of the awards ceremony to celebrate hard work in Ghana’s rising fashion and modelling industry.

This year’s award will be under the theme, ‘Talent with Relevance,’ and will also serve as a platform to encourage young models in the industry.

The ceremony will also be used to celebrate the late Ricci Ossei and Kofi Ansah, who have both contributed a lot to the fashion and modelling industry.

According to organisers, two new categories; ‘Video Vixen of the Year and Agent/Talent Scout of the Year‘ have been added to previous categories.

‘These categories were added based on the numerous suggestions and requests made by stakeholders of the modelling industry. Submission of nominations for the GMA 2014 will open on September 8. All submissions should be accompanied by clear photographs, full names of the potential nominee(s) with contacts, at least one referee with contact, and also the contact of the sender.’

This year’s GMA is being organised by Shades & Powder in partnership with “One Step Entertainment.”

Last year, models Zion Benjamin and Shirley S. Anku went home with the overall best male model & female model awards respectively at the awards ceremony which was held at the Alisa Hotel in Accra.

This year, there is high anticipation over who will even get nominated.
