Eastern Regional Minister survives car crash

The  Eastern Regional Minister, Antwi Boasiako Sekyere has been treated and discharged after a car accident  on the Akuapem ridge road on Tuesday.

The Minister was reportedly driving home after attending an official assignment in Accra.

According to the Public Relations Officer of the Regional Administrating Council, Prosper Fetor Tsormana, the minister sustained minor injuries and was rushed to the Tetteh Quarshie Government Hospital at Mampong.

Tsormana said the Minister’s vehicle was involved in a head-on collision with another vehicle which veered onto his path.

‘I was not able to talk to the police to get what actually happened  but when I spoke to him, the Minister, he said it was a head-on collision. As he was coming from Accra there was a different car from the other direction and the car veered into his path and caused the accident,’ he added.

Mr. Fetor Tsormana said Mr. Antwi-Boasiako has since been treated and discharged.

‘He was immediately sent to the government hospital at Mampong for treatment so luckily he’s been discharged.’
