Eastern Regional Minister involved in car crash


News reaching Myjoyonline.com indicate that Eastern Regional Minister, Antwi Boasiako Sekyere survived a road crash on the Akuampem ridge late Tuesday.

The Minister was said to be driving himself after attending an official assignment in Accra, when the incident occurred at Amanokrom around 10pm.

He sustained minor injuries and was rushed to the Tetteh Quarshie Government Hospital at Mampong, where he was treated and discharged, early Wednesday.

Details are sketchy but reports say the Minister’s vehicle collided head-on with another vehicle from opposite direction. 

He was the only occupant in the vehicle, Public Relations Officer at the Regional Coordinating Council, Prosper Fetor Tsormana told Myjoyonline.com.
