Self-Denial Makes Nana Addo A Serial Loser—Sam George

A member of the Communication’s team of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC), Samuel George has spelt doom for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) saying they will continue to lose elections in this country until “a whole new generation” emerges within the party.

“A whole new generation of individuals have to come into the NPP before they win an election in this country because this current generation is so brainwashed and deluded into believing their own spin; spinning from the truth…” he said.

Samuel George was speaking to the one year commemoration of the Supreme Court ruling on the election petition on Radio Gold’s Alhaji and Alhaji on Saturday.

According to him, one year down the line, the NPP has not learnt any lesson; “they keep on living in self-denial”.

“It is this refusal to face reality of life that continually makes Nana Addo a serial loser and unfortunately, a large section of the NPP carries along that mind-set. And a whole year down the line, they haven’t learnt their lesson…I wonder how things can change for them going forward…you can clearly see a group of people in self-denial,” he posited.

Many were those who had memories of the famous election petition at the Supreme Court (SC). A section of the discussants were grateful to the 2012 flagbearer of the NPP, Nana Akufo Addo for immediately accepting the ruling of the SC, rather than going for a review, thus saving the nation from another tense period.

But Samuel George disagrees.
“Listening to discussions ongoing to mark the one year of the SC ruling, people have sought to paint the NPP as a political party that must be thanked for the peace we enjoy in this country and that is what has caused the NPP the 2008 and 2012 elections and will cost them 2016, 2020, 2024, 2028 elections. I still maintain that the elections that were held in 2012, were the freest and fairest election in the history of Ghana and gold coast except for one man and his inordinate desire to become the President,” he said firmly.
