After a successful pilot project with Labone Senior High School, One-On-One Foundation is set to spread its tentacles to other parts of the country.

The foundation seeks to inculcate the practice of good health-related issues among the youth, particularly those in second cycle institutions.

Also with an objective to combat social vices and health hazards like smoking, alcohol and drug abuse among students, the foundation recently held a pilot project at the Labone Senior High School.

The foundation’s president, Emmanuel Ola Williams, and his team took the students through a health sensitisation workshop on the first day of their visit.

Thereafter, the foundation and the students embarked on a massive clean-up and scrubbing exercise at the various dormitories and houses, which was followed by the awarding of marks by the health inspection team.

Special certificates as well as souvenirs were presented to the neatest boys, girls and dormitories.

In a post-event interview, Mr Williams said, ‘We believe when the younger generation grasps this sanitation concept, a fraction of our sanitation challenges would be solved.

‘As we carry this project to the other parts of the country, our target is to make the children embrace it so they go out to their various communities and home and serve as sanitation ambassadors.
