“God Has Chosen You Already,” Chief Tells Akufo-Addo

The Tufuhene of the Wassa Fiase Traditional Area, Nana Kwadu Kyerefoo, on Wednesday, August 20, has told Nana Akufo-Addo to continue to remain patient and steadfast, as “God has already chosen you to be President” of the Republic of Ghana, with the upcoming presidential primary of the New Patriotic Party only “a mere formality.”

‎As has been an integral feature of his tour, Nana Akufo-Addo, as a mark of respect and prior to meeting delegates of the Western Region in Tarkwa, called on the Omanhene of the Wassa Fiase Traditional, Osagyefo Dr. Kwamena Enimil VI, who is also the President of the Regional House of Chiefs. Osagyefo was, unfortunately, our of town on House of Chiefs’ business in Sekondi.

Nana Kwadu Kyerefoo, Tufuhene of the Wassa Fiase Traditional Area, who stood in for him, in his admonition to Nana Akufo-Addo, asked him to remain patient, steadfast and tolerant in the face of deliberate acts of provocation against his person, “because you have already secured victory. This contest is a mere formality.”

“God has already chosen you to be President”, he said, recalling an incident when the late President, John Atta-Mills, visited a school where a pupil, when asked “Who is the President of Ghana?”, answered by mentioning Nana Akufo-Addo’s name.

The Chief appealed to the leadership and membership of the NPP to ensure peace prevails in the party, as the washing of the party’s dirty linen in public is not the way to go.

“Things are not well with Ghana, everyone acknowledges that we are suffering. So the NPP must be united. With Dr. Bawumia by Nana’s side, when Nana wins and becomes President of Ghana, we know and believe that all will be well with our country, Ghana,” Nana Kwadu Kyerefoo added.
