Come August 23, multiple award-winning disc jockey and Africa’s number one DJ, Kwadwo Ampofo, known in showbiz as DJ Black, will join Y 107.9 FM as a guest host on one of the station’s most listened-to entertainment programmes, Y Campus Xpress.
The show would be broadcast live from the YFM studio at the Accra Mall, where DJ Black would stage fun competitions including freestyle battles and karaoke, while interacting and rewarding young aldults with Smirnoff products.
According to DJ Black, who is also Smirnoff Brand Ambassador, ‘This is a great way of bringing our listeners together on one platform for a wonderful radio experience.’
The show forms part of a Smirnoff Ice Double Black campaign called ‘Double Side’. The campaign is aimed at creating fun moments for young adults by giving them the platform to show a bolder side of their character which is not known to their peers.
The show, which would also serve the purpose of counselling audience on responsible drinking and also create a platform for discovering new talents, is the first of its kind in Ghana.
Late last year, Guinness Ghana Breweries Limited, Ghana’s only total beverage company, launched a new variant of Smirnoff Ice called Smirnoff Ice Double Black and the ‘Double Side’ campaign is one of the many exciting campaigns planned for consumers of this brand.
Listeners can join DJ Black and Joel live on YFM on Saturday, July 26 between 2:00pm and 5:00pm and win special prizes from Smirnoff Ice.
