Only Honesty And Justice Can Save Ghana From Hardship—Archbishop Emeritus


(Ejisu) Most Rev. Thomas K. Mensah, Emeritus II Archbishop of the Kumasi Catholic Archdiocese, has stated that the only way in which Ghana could be out of her current economic and social sufferings was through honesty and fair justice.

He observed that the country was blessed with a lot of resources which should make the country be one of the rich countries in Africa yet the country had suffered in the area of economy and development.

He stated this last Saturday when he ordained five priests and six diaconates of congregation of the Holy Spirit at Ejisu Spiritan University College.

He entreated both political and religious leaders in the country to lead crusader of promoting values of honesty and justice by living an exemplary lives for others to emulate.

Most Rev. Mensah, urged the newly ordained priests and diaconates to always be honest and just in their doings since that was the only way they could draw more people to God.

He advised the pastors in the country to desist from propagating worldly things rather than the salvation.

He also encouraged the newly priests not to preach what their congregations would wish to hear instead they should preach what they ought to preach.

He noted that it was time for Ghanaians to be fair, honest and just to rebuild the trust and confidence foreigners had for the country.

Rev.Fr. Benjamin Kudawe, one of the newly ordained Priest, expressed their gratitude to the leaders of the Spiritan Congregation for given them opportunity to help shepherd God’s people and also thanked those who supported them during the formation years.
