Fatau Dauda Awaits Work Permit To Make Chippa United Debut

The 29-year-old is yet to make his debut for Chippa United because his work permit has not been finalised.

Newly-promoted South African side Chippa United claim Fatau Dauda’s competitive debut has delayed because of paper work.

The Ghana goalkeeper who recently joined Chippa from Orlando Pirates on a two-year term has missed the club’s first two opening fixtures.

There are several other players in that condition including the coach Kosta Papic, who formerly managed Accra Hearts of Oak.

“As I’m talking to you right now, I don’t know when it (Papic’s work permit will be ready),” team manager, Peter Koutroulis told KickOff.com.

The website reports that Zimbabwean defender Eric Chipeta and Nigerian midfielder Ugonna Uzochukwu are also currently unavailable for the same reason.

Since Dauda competed for Pirates last season, it could be that his permit needs to be renewed in order to pave way for his debut.

Chippa United are hoping all the documentation issues are sorted before their Wednesday clash with the University of Pretoria in the Absa Premiership.
